On His Blindness

On His Blindness
by John Milton

While William Shakespeare is the leading and most famous literary in his period - a poet of impulse, love, hate, fear, and jealous that rule mankind;and John Milton is the crownin glory of the puritan period-a poet of steadfast will and purpose, this two poets stand most prominently in English Literature. Each of them represents the forces that dominate our humanity- the force of fixed purpose.
Milton represents the religious consciousness of the Puritans of England. One of his literary piece entitled " On His Blindness" in which he refers that poem in his life- for his blindness and the dedication of his talent to God.
Through his work "On His Blindness" the idea expressed in the poem for his being handicapped is not a reason for everyone to be a timid person, instead it is a challenge for us to be strong in every circumstances that came in our life, and its not a reason to not praise to God but thanks the God for the gift that we recieve to Him.
